FREEDOMSPEAKS.COM (http://www.freedomspeaks.com) is fiercely non-partisan, but this blog is not. This blog represents the personal view points of myself, Jason Kiesel, the Founder of FreedomSpeaks. I am a registered Independent and have conservative leanings, and I make this no secret. All non-partisan organizations are run by people. And all people have a political leaning one way or another. My personal beliefs, however, in no way effect the the non-partisan nature of FREEDOMSPEAKS.COM.

You know, you’d think the guy running a politically oriented website full time would do better than lowering the political discourse down to a silly, simplistic, and pretty much ignorant political cartoon like this one. Next thing I guess is FWD:FWD:FWD Obama is a baby eating Muslim e-mail chain letters.
By the way, you should read up on Obama’s tax policies — you will probably find that as someone running a startup you’ll benefit from the elimination of capital gains taxes and also will get a tax cut since I doubt you are pulling in more than 200k a year. But then again, I guess that would put you on the ‘lazy’ side of the equation?

Wow. Seems I’ve really hit a nerve here with some people.
My first rebuttal to “Greg” (who makes an awful lot of assumptions) would be that I find it interesting he equates this cartoon as a satire on Obama. The cartoon is clearly directed at ALL Democrats, not just Obama. But it’s nice that you do acknowledge Obama’s (and most any other Democrat’s) tax policy is really nothing but redistribution of wealth.
Second, you assume I run FreedomSpeaks full time. I don’t. I have a day job.
Third, your facts on Obama’s tax “cuts” are incorrect. Quoting a recent article by the NY Sun, “Mr. Obama is not only proposing raising the capital gains and dividend tax to 25% but will allow much of the Bush tax cuts to expire, including allowing the top individual income tax rate to return to 39.6%.” I don’t agree with raising taxes. Period. I’d prefer to have a national flat tax if you really want my opinion (you didn’t ask, but I’m offering it anyway).
Fourth, you assume I make less than $200,000 / year. You don’t even know me, so why would you assume that? Sounds like someone (i.e., you) has a bit of a chip on their shoulder. And to top it all off, you call me “lazy”. Nice, Greg. You’re a real “people” person, aren’t you. Take a deep breath and relax, it’s just a cartoon! Have a chuckle like everyone else.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Be a man next time and leave your full name. Don’t be a coward and hide behind internet anonymity.
